About

The Daintree National Park and the Great Barrier Reef is the homeland of the Eastern Kuku Yalanji people. You will get to experience traditional coastal survival techniques and learn about the connection Aboriginal people have with the rainforest.

At Cooya Beach Traditional Owners will take you for a hands on experience where you will be taught how to throw a spear and collect a variety of food and medicine amongst the ever –changing mudflats and tidal lagoons.

Enjoy lunch which includes freshly gathered food before taking a short drive to Mossman Gorge to explore the ancient rainforest.
Learn about how Aboriginal people were able to survive in this piece of paradise.

Enjoy a refreshing swim in the crystal clear waters of the Mossman River (Conditions permitting).
