What are the age requirements for the tours?

Minimum age requirement for all tours is 4 years. We can cater for all ages on our private charters.

Do I need to reconfirm my booking?

For half and one day tours no reconfirmation is necessary unless booking details have changed.
For multi day tours (2 Days +) reconfirmation is required a minimum of 48 hours prior to departure by calling 1300 794 175.

What do I need to bring on tour?
Each tour has a specific what to bring list. For half and one day tours a refillable water bottle is recommended as well as hat, sunscreen and your booking receipt. For multi day tours small soft sided bags are recommended.
What meals are include in the tour?

Meals are indicated in the inclusions of the tour.Breakfast includes a continental breakfast with tea and coffee. Lunch is a variety of salads, cold meats and fresh bread rolls whilst dinner will include a hot meal. We cater for dietary requirements but this must be advised at the time of booking.

What are the accommodation options?

We use a variety of accommodation styles for our multi day tours. Standard twin share accommodation is included and can vary from cabins, tents, guest houses and resorts.Single supplement options are available on most tours.

What if I am a solo traveler and do not book single supplement accommdation?

We will attempt to match you with a traveler of the same gender for twin share accommodation. If there is no suitable match then you will need to upgrade to single supplement accommodation.

How fit do I need to Be?

We have a wide variety of cultural experiences to cater for all levels of fitness. Each tour has a physicality rating to indicate the appropriate fitness level required.

Example; Showing a  3/5 suggest approximately 5 kilometers of walking in a day.

What if I cancel my booking?

We have the following terms and conditions for cancellations.


Cancellations for half day and 1 day tours:
Outside 48 hours before departure full refund is given
Less than 48 hours prior to departure a 100% cancellation fee will apply.


Cancellations for multi day tours (2 days and over)
Outside 45 days full refund is given.
Cancellation Inside 15-45 days will incur a 50% cancellation fee.
Cancellations inside 14 days – 72 hours will incur a 75% cancellation fee.
Cancellations within 72 hours of departure will incur a 100% cancellation fee.


All tours booked with an agent may result in an additional fee. You will be advised to contact your
booking agent if you need to cancel your tour.

What if Culture Connect cancels a tour due to minimum numbers?

In the unlikely event of a tour cancellation you will be given three options.

1.You can rebook tour for a suitable day if available.

2.Change for an alternative tour on same day if available.

3.Given a full refund.

How long before the tour will I be notified if there is a tour cancellation?

For half and day tours a minimum of 48 hrs notice will be given. For multi day tours a minimum of 72 hours notice will be given.

How do I know if a tour is confirmed?

You will receive confirmation on your booking notice.If not confirmed we will notify you by email once tour is confirmed.

How many people will be on the tour

We specialise in small group touring with a maximum of 14 people. Typically there would be between 8 and 12 people on most tours.

What type of vehicles will be used?

We have a variety of vehicles including luxury 4WDs , purpose built touring maxi vans and mini buses. All vehicles have seat belts and air conditioning.

What are the luggage limits?

For overnight (2 day tours) luggage weight is restricted to a small overnight bag not exceeding 10kg. For multi day tours over 2 days we recommend a soft sided bag not exceeding 15kg.

Will I have mobile reception?

This depends on location. Most small towns that we travel through have mobile phone reception. If we are “Out on Country” there will be no mobile phone reception or wi fi.

What safety procedures do you have in place?

All of our tours have been risk assessed. We carry satellite phones and recovery gear in remote areas. Our guides hold current First Aid certificates and we have a first aid kit and other emergency equipment on all tours.

Do I require a permit to access Aboriginal Land?

No permit is required. We work closely with Aboriginal Traditional Owners to arrange access to cultural sites.

What Aboriginal cultural protocols do I need to follow?

Aboriginal culture is diverse and varied throughout Australia. Our cultural guides are in tune with the local culture and will educate you about the appropriate cultural protocols to follow for that particular region.

What is the best time of the year to travel?

Northern Australia has 2 distinct seasons the Dry Season (May – October) and Wet Season(November – April).

Remote tours are restricted to dry season departures due to seasonal road access.

We operate half, one day and selected multi day tours throughout the year.

What age qualifies for the child rate?

Child rates are ages from 4 to 14 years old.
